Russian marine units deployed in Syria to help Assad

Al-Arabiya TV channel reported citing sources in Syria that two Russian warships docked in the Mediterranean port city of Tartus. At least one ship delivered units of the Russian navy soldiers to Syria.   The Russians did not comment on that information.   Meanwhile, "Israeli" intelligence sources also said that Russian naval ships with soldiers and military equipment on board arrived to the port of Tartus. There are no reports yet on the tasks of the Russian marine special force units. Arab sources recall that Russia has a military base in the Syrian port of Tartus. There is also Russian military personnel in Syria tarned as instructors. No official data is available on the number of Russian troops in Syria. Earlier, it was reported that Iranian special forces and sniper teams were fighting alongside with the Assad's murderous troops. Western and Arab sources recall that Russia continues to supply weapons to the illegal Alawite regime in Syria. The Syrian opposition has repeatedly stated that Alawites kill Muslims, women and children, with Russian weapons. Meanwhile, Moscow insists that it is entitled to supply weapons to the bloody Assad's regime in accordance with the existing agreements. Russia is happy to sell to the Alawite regime aircraft, tanks, heavy artillery and other weapons to kill Muslims. Over the past 9 years, Damascus has increased arms purchases from Russia almost sixfold, International Peace Research Institute said in Stockholm. The US and other western countries have previously criticized Russia for supplying weapons to al-Assad's regime. It is to be recalled that it is a year since clashes began in Syria, in which 8,000 to 10,000 people were killed. Department of Monitoring Kavkaz Center
