On December 15, 2006, at 4:00 pm the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate
of Afghanistan Taliban exploded remote-controlled landmines at 3 military
vehicles belonging to a US
military convoy that was on its way to the provincial capital in the Pachakhil
area 4 km
from Mahtarlam, the capital of Laghman
the province. As the result, 6 US
soldiers were killed and a number of them was severely injured.
On December 16, 2006 at 8:00
am the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate
of Afghanistan Taliban exploded a
remote-controlled landmine at a military
vehicle belonging to the Afghan mercenary army in the Khara village of the Manogay district
of the Kunar province. As the result, 2 Afghan soldiers were killed
and 2 others were injured.
On December 16, 2006, at 1:00
am the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate
of Afghanistan Taliban exploded a
remote-controlled landmine at a military
vehicle belonging to the US army in the
Mateen area of the Manogay district of the Kunar province. There are no details on enemy
losses as of yet.
Also on Saturday morning,
December 16, 2006, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Taliban
exploded a remote-controlled landmine at a military vehicle belonging to the
Afghan mercenary army on the other side of the stream in the Khara area,
killing 2 and wounding another 2 puppet
soldiers.
