Russian Propaganda Invents News in the Name of the CIA

Publication time: 7 October 2006, 11:19

The Endlish-language edition of the Moscow Democratic paper Kommersant published a story b a certain Reutov, Kommersant correspondent in Sana, Jemen,  who claimed that "American special services admitted that Islamic extremists from Afghanistan, Chechnya, Yemen, and other regions had starting arriving en masse in Iraq by summer". Surely, Reutov quotes nobody for his "news" source.

We wonder. Does Reutov work for the CIA and have an access to some classified information as an insider? Recently we all read (smiling at the lies) similar fabrications about Chechens fighting in Afghanistan. The lies came  from British military that suffered permanent defeats from Taliban fighters but we heard nothing about Chechens in Iraq.

So the rogue Russia's journalist simply invented this "new" as all of them do, as it seems. And Kommersant is considered (by US democratic media) to be the "most serious independent Moscow paper".

So any Kavkaz Center reader could imagine what the other Russian media is.
