Islamic State of Afghanistan Warns Poland

Publication time: 14 September 2006, 23:53

While reacting over Poland's decision of sending 1000 troops to Afghanistan, the government of the Islamic State of Afghanistan advised Poland to review its decision otherwise it will rue this step. We consider all foreign troops either they are in Afghanistan or planning to come to Afghanistan as invading forces and every Afghan thinks that it his duty to wage a Jihad (Holy War) against these forces,  the government spokesman, Qari Muhammad Yousaf,  told the Afghan Islamic Press news agency.

He said: "The former USSR had made this mistake by sending 120000 troops to Afghanistan but faced defeat. Now a few troops can do nothing but to bring destruction to Afghanistan and increase their death rate." Poland should thank that their troops are not as active as US, British and American troops but what fate they met? The US showing its wisdom pushed NATO into an unjustified and wrong war and God willing the Polish troops will also face defeat, the spokesman predicted.

He continued: "I advise the Poland government not to send troops by reviewing its decision and this is my message to the parliament and people of Poland that Canadian and British troops which is considered very fierce, are in trouble, therefore you should not take this decision." He said: "Every invading army either it is US, Polish or any other army, we view them as enemy and the Taliban's struggle has now become the struggle of every Afghan and it will become more sharp and fierce."

Referring to the decision that troops are coming for the help of Afghans, Qari Muhammad Yousaf said, "Look this strange logic. First they destroy the home of Afghans with bombs and then say that they will help in constructing these houses. These people are using tanks, cannons and bombs on the name of help." He said the power of Hamid Karzai was far less than an ordinary soldier of US army. When asked whether Taliban resistance will change with the fall of winter or not, the Taliban spokesman said resistance is a feeling of every Afghan and it does bother summer or winter.
