Two suicide bombings in Baghdad, one executed on Thursday, September 7, 2006, and the other on Saturday, September 9, 2006, were reported by the Mujahideen Shura Council in Iraq, specifically its Shahideen brigade of Abu Dajana al-Ansari, in two communique issued on Monday, September 11, 2006. According to the messages, each operation was a revenge attack for the June 2006 killing of Abu Mosab al-Zarqawi by coalition forces. The attacks killed dozens of the apostate police at Najda Barrack, and no less than ten crusaders, including a high ranking general, and destroyed two Humvees in the area of al-Ghadir.
